Jamie is a coach, champion fighter, entrepreneur, and certified NLP trainer whose life has been fundamentally reshaped by adversity. A devoted father of four, Jamie’s journey demonstrates extraordinary resilience and purpose-driven impact.

With black belts in Kung Fu and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and recognition as a British Muay Thai champion, Jamie mastered combat sports through discipline and dedication. Surviving a near-fatal violent attack became his pivotal moment, transforming personal struggle into purpose. Today, Jamie coaches elite athletes, including British, European, and World Champions, yet his greatest pride is running a specialist gym and Alternative Education Provision that helps vulnerable young people and adults rebuild their lives. Jamie speaks to companies, communities, and classrooms, advocating that true power exists not in titles, but in mindset, resilience, and identity. His lived experience and wisdom now guide others on their own transformative journeys.

About the talk

Jamie’s talk explores the identity code of champions, including the mindset and resilience that defines exceptional performance. He shares his philosophy that a true champion is simply an ordinary person doing extraordinary things, unpacking the code he has developed to measure and support championship performance. Through personal and often harrowing stories, including his survival of a violent attack, Jamie reveals how adversity can be redirected into purpose and strength. Attendees will hear practical ideas for developing their own champion mindset, understanding that true power comes not from external circumstances, but from the identity and resilience they cultivate within themselves.

Interesting Facts

What’s an interesting thing about you that people won’t know?

I have coached the Royal Marines in MMA. I also did a charity sky dive a year ago.

What achievement makes you most proud?

Seeing my sons and professional fighters help kids with special educational needs to be able to cope with their problems and traumas better.

What do you get up to in your spare time?

I read A LOT. Travel, usually to fight shows, and holiday with my partner Hayley and daughter Quinn.

If you weren’t doing what you’re doing now, what would you be doing instead?

Probably what I was doing before, a Senior Estimator in Construction. Or more NLP and Coaching (my life is split between Gym owner & NLP/coaching).
