Charlotte Faulconbridge

Charlotte Faulconbridge is a prize-winning poet, multiple change-maker award nominee, and #1 Amazon bestselling author from Inclusive Creatives.

Having sold books globally in over 20 countries and on every continent, her work continues to be featured across the BBC and international outlets. Her latest book received critical acclaim from screenwriter and BAFTA Fellow Andrew Davies. She is an ambassador for the mental health charity MIND, was nominated for a BBC Make A Difference Award in 2024, and in 2025 she was named as one of the Big Issue’s top 100 Changemakers. Charlotte was born non-verbal and relied on sign language to communicate as a child which followed into her early teens. After undergoing treatment to realign her frontal lobes she was able to speak. (Able, but not comfortable). Having discovered she was autistic at the age of 15, verbal communication was still a challenge and as a result of forcing herself to conform to societal norms she became isolated and detached from her peers. It was only when she discovered poetry that she unlocked the courage to express herself authentically through the method of communication she felt most comfortable with – signing. Since then, she has become an advocate for encouraging alternative methods of communication within the performing arts world and has set up her own online hub for disabled creatives called Inclusive Creatives.
