Kirsty's role

Organising and hosting a TEDx event in her home town has been a long-term dream for Kirsty. She is the licence holder for TEDxWarrington and leads the organising team on event planning, organisation and delivery. She can’t wait for June to arrive with such an incredible opportunity to profile some of the amazing talent and ideas we have in the region.

Work

Kirsty is a networking, marketing and events consultant. She is also the Owner of Colony Networking, Manager of Lymm Business Centre, Co-host of LinkedinLocal Manchester and Warrington, Co-Host of KTS Women in Business, Founder of Think Family Matters, and Co-Founder of SoupOTG Crowdfunding. Kirsty facilitates, hosts and speaks at business development, networking and community events, and offers a range of consultancy services for businesses. She has also fundraised thousands for various regional causes over the years and has received several awards for her community work.

Play

Kirsty is a travel junkie so any extended free time is spent exploring the world and enjoying good food and drink. Back home, when she’s not juggling her three kids’ social lives, she enjoys running, getting involved in community events and fundraising work, and is currently writing her first book.

What's your favourite TED/TEDx talk and why?

Can I have two?

Derek Sivers – How to start a movement

A hilarious clip that epitomises human behaviour and tribal, team and leadership instincts.

Matt Cutts – Try something new for 30 days

A direct and encouraging appeal to our curious but cautious minds that anything is possible if we insert new habits into our lives.
