Kate's Role

After being a TEDx speaker in the 2022 Warrington event and then delivering the welcome address in 2023, Kate has now joined the Speaker Support Team. Kate will offer speaking, creativity and neurodiversity guidance to support the speaker experience and enhance the creative vision set out for TEDxWarrington

Work

Dr Kate Jenkinson is a research Biologist turned award-winning HR leader and now Executive Coach in her business Next Step HR Ltd. Kate partners with HR teams to provide Neurodiversity Awareness training, keynote talks and creative executive coaching to engage and retain neurodivergent talent. As a neurodivergent person herself, she empathises with the challenges that both organisations and individuals face, and the role of HR to facilitate a neuroinclusive culture. 

 

Kate is also a sought-after Spoken Word Artist. Her first poetry collection Un/Broken was released in 2024. Kate’s signature poetry service is the Spoken Word Finale – the most memorable way to close an event, conference or award ceremony. Kate recently founded the Poetry in Business Conference and the Association of Business Poets to showcase the power of poetry and she co-hosts an online accessible open mic called Prickly Pear.

Kate goes to a lot of spoken word events, online and in person, she plays badminton (captaining a team in the local league), and she throws sticks and balls for her dog.
