As our Speaker Liaison, James is the first point of contact for logistical and moral support for our TEDx speakers as they progress through their training programme. An experienced public speaker himself, James thinks TEDx is an amazing platform for innovative and fresh ideas to be heard, and for aspiring speakers to accelerate their journey to the ‘stage’, as well as a great opportunity for his adoptive home town of Warrington.
James helps businesses and leaders improve communication, employee engagement and customer experience across their business. He works with individuals and organisations to help them understand themselves better and in doing so, deliver stronger performance individually and collectively.
James is currently Vice President of the Professional Speaking Association North West, which involves organising talks from speakers of all levels, and providing feedback to help improve their skills and confidence. Away from work, James is a volunteer with Child Bereavement UK. He’s also captain of his local rugby union team, loves everything motorsport, travel and exploring new places.
What's your favourite TED/TEDx talk and why?
It really makes you stop and think about ‘why’ you do what you do. It made a massive impact on me personally and I continue to use it in my training, coaching and consultancy work.
